How promotion is decided

Clear, fair rules ensure each child progresses on the basis of attendance and scholastic performance.

Academic Terms
Two terms per year — April to Sept, and Oct to March.
Attendance
Required percentage: 85% of total working days to be eligible to sit exams.

Promotion Rules

  • There will be two academic terms for the scholastic year: April–September and October–March. A child needs to pass both terms to be promoted.
  • Reports about the children's performance in these assessments will be issued to parents after the completion of each term. Parents are requested to review the reports and guide their children accordingly.
  • Failure in any one of the main subjects — English, Hindi, Science, or Mathematics — based on the average of all the exams renders a student liable to repeat his/her class.
  • The Principal reserves the right to debar a student from appearing at the Final Examination for sufficient reasons.
  • For sufficient reasons such as unsatisfactory progress in studies, insufficient attendance, serious misconduct, etc., a student may be debarred from an examination.
  • Report cards will be handed over to the parents only when all dues are cleared.
  • Results once declared are final.
The Principal's decision on matters of promotion, debarring and exceptions is final. Parents are advised to maintain attendance, monitor progress and clear dues in time.
